Hey Microsoft – Re: Excel

We’ve heard rumors you are working on another version of your popular Excel program. A few suggestions:

1. Better Charts – Currently the charts produced in Excel look like they are being created using a Commodore 64.

2. Security – Can the next version of Excel have security that a 6 year old can’t find a way to crack?

3. Compile as an executable? An old boss once said “that’s amazing, but can you make it look less like Excel?”. Sure, just not with Excel. I’ve also seen the request repeated multiple times. It would be cool if there is an easy way of turning a spreadsheet app into a stand-alone product.

Feel free to add your own…

Can't get the tutorial to work for you? Need help with your code?

More rows, more columns, and please leave the VBA model alone. I am not ready for .net .yet.

The ability to hide errors (e.g. #div/0!) with a custom error format.
