Quick Copy Autoshapes and Form Controls

CtrlCopyI haven’t used this shortcut in a couple years. I was reminded of it when it was used in the Charts Webcast.

You can quickly create a copy of an Autoshape in a Worksheet, or a copy of Controls on a Userform:

1. Hold down the Ctrl key
2. Click and Drag the Object to copy

… just to make the point this goes fro cell ranges, work sheets, etc.

in the VBE you can drag VBE componets to another project to make a copy of it (with the same name) with out using +ctrl, – you can not use + ctrl to make a copy in th same project (names issue i guess)

Yep, the other stuff works.. I wish I would have remembered copy range(click the edge and drag after holding ctrl) it used to be a favorite. I’m more a mouse guy than keyboard guy, if there is such a type distinction.

    Thanks.
