I use datedif because additional formatting &lt;b&gt;isn&#039;t&lt;/b&gt; required. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If I simply subtract the two dates, the result is another date, which isn&#039;t what  I&#039;m after.</description>
