Color every other Row

Sometimes it is hard to read a long row of data from left to right, and you end up with identifying the wrong info. Try shading every other row a different color. This method keeps the cells the same even if you delete rows.

1. Select the entire sheet

2. On the menu, click Format then Conditional Formatting

3. Under Condition 1, change “Cell Value Is” to “Formula Is”

4. Next to “Formula Is”, enter the following =mod(row(),2) = 1

5. Click the format button

6. Click the patterns tab and pick a color,, hit OK a couple times and you’re done!
