How to Clear Print Area in Excel & Google Sheets

This tutorial demonstrates how to clear the print area in Excel and Google Sheets.

Clear Print Area in Excel

Let’s say that you set the print area and you want to clear it. To do that follow the next steps:

First, click anywhere on the worksheet for which you want to clear the print area, and then in the Ribbon (1) go to Page Layout, (2) click on Print Area and (3) choose Clear Print Area.

Note: If your worksheet has more than one print area, clearing a print area will remove all the print areas on your worksheet.

In Google Sheets, there is no way to permanently set the print area, so there is no way to clear it.
